The Highlands & Islands Agricultural Support Group (HIASG) Position on post-Brexit land management policy – Report

29 March 2020

This summary report sets out the Highland and Islands Agricultural Support Group’s (HISAG) position regarding post-Brexit land management policy. Working with HIASG representatives Steven Thomson (SRUC) and Andrew Moxey (Pareto Consulting) drafted this position paper that calls for the specific nature and diversity of land management activity across the Highlands and Islands to be fully considered in the development of future agricultural policy – including during the testing of future pilot schemes.

The work builds on the work Steven and Andrew completed for HIASG in 2018 that considered the potential impacts of Brexit on agricultural and wider land use in the Highlands and Islands (see here)
