In Autumn 2017, SRUC’s Rural Policy Centre jointly organised a workshop with colleagues from the Centre for Rural Economy at Newcastle University, focusing on rural policy in Scotland post-Brexit. This was part of a series of meetings that CRE is organising exploring future rural policy options across the devolved countries of the UK.

The report from this workshop has now been published entitled “After Brexit: 10 Key Questions for Rural Policy in Scotland”, and can be downloaded here.

You can also find the reports on England and Northern Ireland via the CRE website here (in 2017 publications).

The 10 Key Questions document was formally launched at the Scottish Land and Estates Annual Conference on 29 May 2018 at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh. For more information on the event, please visit the conference website here.
