Professor Davy McCracken provides an update on the EU-funded project ‘EuroSheep’ and explains how activities have managed to continue in a virtual environment.

The two main project goals are to:

  1. Assess how best to improve individual and flock performance through improved management of animal health.
  2. Consider how an enhanced focus on the nutritional needs of the animals can help reduce annual feed costs.

The ultimate aim of the project is not only to identify practical solutions to country specific issues but also to identify which of those solutions may also be relevant elsewhere.
